business Insurance

Whether your business is for profit or non profit, businesses should have certain kinds of insurance.  Liability insurance is recommended both for operations at your premises and operations away from the premises.  Although workers’ compensation is not mandatory in Texas, it is recommended when you have employees.  Every business should have general liability insurance if it owns or rents a physical space.

Commercial property insurance

Property Insurance compensates you if  your business is lost or damaged as a result of various types of common “perils” such as fire or theft. Property insurance covers not just buildings or structures but also office furniture, inventory, raw materials, machinery, computers and other items vital to your business operations.

liability insurance

Protect yourself against lawsuits! Someone might claim that your business caused them harm as a result of your operations such as a defective product or an unsafe condition at your place of business. Your insurance policy will pay damages up to the limits of liability.

A business that has a Board of Directors should consider directors and officers liability insurance.  Businesses that handle large amounts of money should have fidelity coverage to cover possible criminal acts.

commercial vehicle insurance

Business vehicle insurance-a business auto policy provides coverage for all those vehicles owned by a business.  A personal auto policy is not designed to provide coverage for vehicles that are used primarily for business.

Home-based business insurance

Whether you are doing medical billing, building dog houses or operating a day care center from your home, you may not have adequate insurance.  Most home or policies held limits for business equipment and other business activities are excluded as well.  Contact me regarding how to best handle your home based business exposures.
